1. Server Suite requirements
 
Before installing the product you need to have properly prepare environment including hardware and required software.
 
 
1.1 Hardware requirements
 


 • Processor
Minimum: Pentium 4 - 3 GHz, Recommended: 2x2 GHz or better
 
 • Memory
Minimum: 2GB (Free), Recommended: 4GB (Free) or more
 
 • Disk Space
Minimum: 15GB, Recommended: 50GB - excluding Operating System requirements

 • Operating System - supported platform x64 only

Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

 • Microsoft .NET Framework - to be installed on server machine

 • Archiver - for extracting software shipped

Any which can support .rar extension, recommended: WinRAR or 7zip
 


 • Configuration files editor - for easier viewing and editing
Any suitable for own needs, recommended: Notepad++
 


 • Lua Scripting - for easy script edit and syntax check
The only and recommended editor is Lua Edit

All configuration files are organized for Notepad++ editor. Opening them in different editor may cause their content display as disorganized. Configuration files should be saved with UTF-8 Without BOM (encoding tab at the top menu of Notepad++)

 

 
 
2. Operating System preparation
 
It is recommended to store the server on separate disk partition (not operating system one, C:\). If size of your disk allows you to create new partition it is worth to follow the steps (for size refer to above requirements).
 
 
2.1 Are you the only Administrator of the system?
 
If you are the only Administrator of the Server operating system or working in trusted team it is worth to configure the Security Policy (does not apply to Home distributions of Operating Systems) as follows:
  

Control Panel -> Local Security Policy -> Local Policies -> Security Policy

 
Find User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode and set to Elevate without prompting
 
 
 
3. Downloading and extracting server files
 
Follow to MuEMU download page and save the full package to your server machine. Extract using WinRAR or other software supporting .rar extension to desired location.
 
 
 
4. License Activation
 
Once server files are nicely placed on your server machine, to start license activation procedures Contact and get your environment activated for purpose of MuEMU Server Suite.
